Profiling Your Boss

Excelling in your career requires the understanding and application of a range of principles. Profiling your boss happens to be one of those. The designation of a boss is such a sensitive position that comes with its dynamics, ranging from vision delivery to the challenges that encompass the circle. This position probably creates a default pattern of thinking that other people who
aren’t in "his" shoes find it quite difficult to understand. Bosses expect strong partnership with team members to deliver expected results; therefore profiling ''him'' becomes imperative. Boss profiling entails understanding the way ''he'' thinks, processes information, expectations and ethics. For example; some bosses like constant word-of-mouth feedback on the status of tasks, while some function better with detailed electronic feedback obviously because of how different we are. Understanding these concepts will create a smooth working relationship and position you as a valuable personnel. Consequently, boss profiling requires close observation, communication and clarification in order to have full grasp of "his" expectations, style, and pattern of thinking.
