Closing The Gaps

Life is a journey; a very rigorous one at that. As much as the successes we seek are principle driven, the actual process that guarantees results can be cumbersome. The complex nature of the journey we are on brings the possibilities of leaving gaps in the process. Gaps here is metaphorically used to connote very important areas of development that we have left out intentionally or unintentionally.
Gaps in our lives could be our insensitivity to needs other than ourselves, our inability to be broadminded to see things differently, the way we dress that possibly sends the wrong message, our choice of words when dealing with subordinates, poor reception to corrections and constructive criticisms, pride, poor attention to details, etc. These areas of our lives are important because they contribute towards our completeness. They create a certain balance that expands our influence and connection with people of different caliber. Your life assignment is critical, therefore you cannot allow it to be short-changed by important gaps you did not close. Pretty much like a bad attitude that is closely associated with a flat Tyre, you can't go any where with it until you change it. The urgency of your destination is immaterial until the "Bad Tyre" is changed. It is important that you conduct a holistic self evaluation to identify the gaps that you need to close in order to bring you to that place of completeness where your values are in sync with your actions. Identify the gaps and essentially close them.
